I’m super excited to start offering two new Gyaco consulting products. Some customers have tested and validated these products and have given great feedback, so I want to offer them in a structured way for people and companies. These products are product assessment, and crafting the product vision and strategy.
Now, in June, I am completing two years in which I have been dedicated full-time to helping companies and people connect business and technology through training and consultancy in product management and digital transformation. I have learned a lot from the more than 80 clients with whom I have had the honor of working and who have given excellent testimonials about my work.
When serving these customers, I always have the opportunity to improve and evolve the service. As part of this evolution, I ended up creating these 2 new products, which were applied to some clients with very positive feedback, and which I now add to my training and consultancy services:
Product assessment aims to identify how product management concepts, principles, and tools are used in the company. In this diagnosis, I will talk to leaders and key people in the organization. Depending on the number of people I talk to, it usually lasts 1 to 2 months. At the end of this diagnosis, I will present the current status as well as recommendations for the next steps.
The product vision is nothing more than what the product will be like in the future. Defining, communicating, and reviewing the product vision is the most important responsibility of a person leading a product development team. Without the product vision, working on any other topic is very difficult. Once you have the product vision, the next step is to build the product strategy, which defines the path to be followed to reach the product vision.
A clear product vision and strategy is essential for the product development team, the rest of the company, and even when talking to potential candidates and investors. I recently helped a startup create their product vision and here’s the feedback I received:
